SYSMICS – Toward Systems medicine based on multi-oMics.

By joining forces within the University of Nantes around the integration of multi-omics data, SysMics aims to accelerate the transfer of systems biology approaches into medical practice, a transdisciplinary initiative at the interface between Biology & Health and Digital Sciences.

Project summary

SysMics aims to bring together laboratories in Nantes to promote the integration of genomic screening data with other types of data (molecular, biological, and clinical), enabling the development of new biomedical approaches. The Labex will focus on four main objectives:

  • strengthening the synergy of research efforts in genetics, genomics, and bioinformatics applied to genetic diseases, chronic conditions, and cancer;
  • developing predictive models;
  • building an international training program in systems biology/medicine;
  • and promoting multi-omics approaches in translational research and, ultimately, in clinical practice.
