CHEM-Symbiose platform is dedicated to the synthesis of small molecules. Since 2013, CHEM-Symbiose has been developing its expertise for its partners through its two activities: custom synthesis and/or research collaboration. Located at the CEISAM laboratory (UMR6230) at Nantes University, CHEM-Symbiose is certified by IBiSA, Biogenouest, and CNRS. Through its chemical library, CHEM-Symbiose is also a member of ChemBioFrance.
Thanks to co-financing from the Biogenouest and IBiSA networks, the platform has acquired new equipment : a puriFlash® 5.030 / expressionS CMS® / Plate Express® from Advion Interchim Scientific®.
This equipment consists of a purification unit coupled with three detectors (UV, DEDL, and mass) to quickly isolate and identify synthesized compounds. In parallel with purification, this equipment is equipped with a Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) plate reader coupled with mass spectrometry to quickly identify compounds of interest during reaction monitoring. The two sources (ESI and APCI) allow for the analysis of a wide variety of organic compounds. In addition, the APCI source is equipped with ASAP® mode, allowing for the direct injection and analysis of solid compounds.
