From 3rd to 13th October, the 2025 Science Festival took place with the theme ‘Intelligence(s)’ and once again, the CEISAM laboratory was there! Yann Pellegrin, accompanied by other members of the laboratory, ran a chemistry stand at the Science Village, focusing on silly mistakes in chemistry. They also visited the paediatric ward at Nantes University Hospital to share experiments directly in the children’s rooms, sparking curiosity and interest in science.
Accompanied by three other female scientists, Morgane Vacher met with middle school girls from the public school in Saint-Jean-de-Monts as part of an initiative organised by the Communauté de Commune Océan Marais de Monts. The programme included discussions about careers in theoretical chemistry and workshops on light and colours. The aim was to break down gender stereotypes and inspire young girls to pursue careers in scientific research.
These initiatives were hailed as ‘favourites’ by the regional Science Festival certification committee!
