A CEISAM professor becomes member of the Ordre des Palmes Académiques

Patrick Giraudeau, a professor at CEISAM, has been awarded the rank of Chevalier in the Ordre des Palmes académiques, a distinction honoring members of the educational community.

Patrick Giraudeau has been a professor at Nantes University since 2017, where he was previously a lecturer. He is recognized for his work in the field of nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, particularly for the development of quantitative analytical methods and their use for the analysis of mixtures. He leads a research team in the laboratory, as well as the NMR platform. Patrick Giraudeau is involved within the university through by being in charge of a Master’s degree in Chemistry (A3M) and as a member of the Academic Council. He is also an honorary member of the Institut Universitaire de France (IUF) and leads major scientific projects, such as a European Research Council (ERC) Consolidator project and a Contrat-Plan Etat-Région (CPER) project. He is also active within the scientific community, having served as Vice President of the French Metabolomics and Fluxomics Network (RFMF) and currently serving as Vice President of the European Society for Magnetic Resonance (AMPERE).

During the ceremony, he was awarded the Palmes Académiques by Bruno Bujoli, himself a member of the Order. Bruno Bujoli was Director of the CEISAM Laboratory from 2008 (creation of CEISAM) to 2016, having been the principal architect of its creation.
