MetaboHUB 2.0: CEISAM joins a national research infrastructure

As of January 1, 2021, the CEISAM institute, via the MIMM team and the NMR platform, becomes one of the partners of the MetaboHUB national research infrastructure in metabolomics and fluxomics. This integration marks the institute’s recognition in the field of metabolomics, and allows the laboratory to join an infrastructure that constitutes an international reference in the field.

MetaboHUB is the national metabolomics and fluxomics research infrastructure created in 2013 as part of the “Future Investments Program” launched by the Ministry of Research and Higher Education and the National Research Agency (ANR) . MetaboHUB aims to develop and make available cutting-edge technological tools and expertise in metabolomics and fluxomics to academic research teams and companies in many fields of application such as nutrition, agriculture, health, environment or biotechnology.

MetaboHUB brings together the tools and skills of 5 platforms in Bordeaux, Clermont-Ferrand Nantes, Paris-Saclay and Toulouse. As of January 1, 2020, funding for the MetaboHUB program was renewed for a period of 5 years allowing the implementation of the new MetaboHUB 2.0 program: “Next generation Metabolomics & Fluxomics: from population to single cells”. January 1, 2021 marked the official entry of CEISAM into the National Infrastructure, of which the laboratory had already been a privileged partner for several years and with which it had established numerous collaborations.

Within MetaboHUB 2.0, CEISAM will bring its expertise in NMR methodology for metabolomics, via the MIMM research team and the NMR platform. CEISAM will coordinate in particular the NMR developments of this national infrastructure, and will also contribute to the developments in isotope analysis by IRMS.
