PEPR Projects

The PEPRs (Priority Research Programs and Equipement) aim to strengthen France’s scientific leadership in fields considered strategic at the national or European level, in connection with major transformations (technological, economic, societal health-related, or environmental). In particular, exploratory PEPRs are designed to support the emergence of promising new scientific areas.

Project led by :  T. Le Bahers (ENS Lyon) — D. Jacquemin (WP leader)

Frame: PEPR LUMA - AAP 2024 -
Category: Modélisation Multi-Echelle / Multiscale Modelling
Year of labellisation: 2025
Funding allocated: 175 k€ (Nantes-U)

The main scientific objective of CHIREXCO (local PI : D. Jacquemin, PI : T. Le Bahers Lyon)  is the understanding, with theoretical tools, of the mechanism of the chiral induction from a large chiral inorganic structure towards a much smaller molecular self-assembled layer.

The PACTE project, led by Clémence Queffélec, aims to harness the unique plasmonic properties of gold nanorod networks to achieve spatio-temporal activation of two distinct catalysts via light polarization. The project will exploit the selective excitation of plasmonic modes through polarized light to independently and alternately trigger catalytic reactions at specific hotspots. This strategy will help prevent catalytic interferences, improve catalyst recyclability, and enable the efficient production of complex synthons with high industrial relevance
