“Nantes University and Stereolux are joining forces once again to present “la nuit blanche des chercheur.es”, a free event at the crossroads of art and research. This evening of scientific mediation brings together the public and researchers from all fields around discoveries and exchanges, driven by an original theme that always arouses everyone’s curiosity.
To celebrate the event’s 10th anniversary, this year’s programme is based around the word ‘resistance’. Located between Halle 6 Ouest and Stereolux, speakers from all disciplines invite you to join them on 12 February, from 5pm to 1am, for an evening rich in exploration.
As part of this 10th edition, Yann Pellegrin will present a micro-conference entitled ‘comme un poison dans l’eau’, focusing on the chemistry of poisons, their impact on the history of science and, unexpectedly, on the history of medicine. The line between remedy and poison is finer than we imagine. ‘Everything is poison, nothing is poison: it is the dose that makes the poison,’ as Paracelsus put it in the 16th century.”
